Education

Edita Randová studied singing and piano privately. At the beginning of her artistic career, she completed voice training with Milada Musilová, then continued her studies with Ivana Mixová and Marta Boháčová, and studied piano with Miroslava Cihlářová. She began her singing career on the stage as a member of the Karlín Music Theater in Prague and on the stage of the Prague State Opera.

Achievements

In 2000, she completed a large concert tour in the Czech Republic entitled "Czech Spring with Edita Randová". In 2003, she was sent to Australia by the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs to promote Czech music. In 2009, she received the Gustav Mahler European Prize for Outstanding Contribution to Music, and in the same year she debuted as Maddalena at the Rigoletto Opera in Mexico. The following year, she received the French Médaille d´OR Internationale in the field of classical music.

Current activities

As part of her concert activities, she performed on stages in Austria, Hungary, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Slovakia, Great Britain, Norway, Finland, Slovenia, Portugal, Australia, Mexico, USA, Canada, Brazil and China, she also sang in the famous New York's Carnegie Hall. She collaborates with Czech and foreign orchestras and conductors.
